Fesoterodine

Fesoterodine is an antimuscarinic (anticholinergic) agent. It is a prodrug that is rapidly and extensively hydrolyzed by non-specific esterases to its active metabolite, which acts as a competitive antagonist of muscarinic receptors to help relax the detrusor muscle in the bladder.

Dosage by Body Weight

The recommended starting dose for adults is 4 mg taken orally once daily. Based on individual response and tolerability, the dose may be increased to 8 mg once daily. Tablets must be swallowed whole with liquid and should not be chewed, divided, or crushed.
